In the begining.

This is a record of the adventure Nash and I went on as he grew. When my wife Stephanie and I were discussing starting a family she said she wanted to name our first son Nash after her grandpa. I liked the name so we agreed on it. When we found out she was pregnant we were very excited. I told her it would be a boy, she was sceptical. Grandpa Nash was in poor health. But, gave steph his word he would wait to meet this great grandson. He did. little Nash got to visit with grandpa Nash a few times before grandpa passed. My dad and I thought the name Nash was fun and it would be neat to find an old Nash car to rebuild with my boy. I researched the auto maker during and after the pregnancy. At some point I decided a 1949 or 50 ambassador or statesman would be what I would look for plenty of hours spent on ebay looking at cars, My dad found one shortly after Nash was born, in loveland colorado only a few block from the folks' house. We went to look at it...  18500?
This guy did a great job of  turning this old bath tub into a sweet street ride. He did fire it up and let us hear it run. Very nice, too much for our family right now. So, continue looking check ebay, check craigslist.
Watching my little boy grow has been great fun. He started really liking cars, just loves to play hot wheels with his daddy (me). Nash has become the apple of my eye. Sometimes I have to work out of town for a couple of days or even late a couple of nights and I don't get to see him. I find myself angry.
A few months went buy just casually looking around for one of these old cars. One saturday my folks were out for a bike ride (motor bike) and they spotted a old Nash for sale. A little rough and a little more my price range. But, this guy wanted 2000 for it.

As excited as I was we didn't have the coin at the time. Steph had stopped working because we could not find safe child care in laramie. We knew it would be the best for Nash if she stayed home with him. And he would be safe. So, we agreed now was not the time to go buying another old rusty bucket. I already have a pick up waiting for me to finish building a new engine for. I'll throw some pics of the old truck later.
A few more months went by. I had completely forgotten about this old car. While driving back from picking up parts in greeley colorado I hit a detour on the highway and drove passed it. Now, the guy only wanted 1500 for it. I talked it over with steph and we went to look at it the first weekend of october. I would say it is about 80 percent complete. So, we bought it. The seller agreed to let us leave it there for a week or two until I could arrange to come pick it up.
